Do You Like Your Delivery Driver?

Your Deliver Driver is Important to You

If you don’t like your delivery driver, you might think the company stinks. If you love your delivery driver, then you love the company they work for. It doesn’t much matter what color the truck is, or how big the company is.

The delivery driver is the extremity of the corporate body. They are the face, the eyes and ears of the company. If your experience with the delivery driver is not good, it does not reflect well on the company.

Is Your Deliver Driver An Ambassador?

The driver may deliver the goods but do they deliver the brand promise? Are the drivers brand ambassadors? Do they deliver a great impression of the company?

The delivery driver may be the only contact you have with the company. I think the delivery driver should be a customer service agents on wheels.

What has been your experience with delivery drivers?

"I met Pete in 2008, when I needed a trainer to present a series of 1½ day workshops to introduce the logistics operation of a Fortune 500 company to the softer side of logistics – soft skills such as building relationships with clients, coworkers, and the public at large (when out there in a company-branded vehicle and uniform). Pete is an entertaining and passionate trainer. During those same workshops, Pete made grown men cry. Not because he was ornery but because he connected them emotionally to their true purpose of working for the organization.

I continue to work with Pete as a content developer as he has both outstanding analytical skills and a high emotional IQ. Pete can develop a plan to make an organization efficient and then translate that into programs that touch people in ways that motivate them to make those efficiencies possible."
