Do You Like To Drive?

I like to drive. I'll jump in the car and go for a day trip. A few years ago, I took a one week RV trip covering almost 2000 miles. It was fun.

Why do people drive professionally?

I have been observing drivers at work for over 35 years, here are my hypotheses:

They would rather be alone in their trucks, than depend on others.
They don’t want the office politics or a meaningless relationship with a co-worker.
They like the daily adventure of driving. Every day is different. Every mile is different.
They want control of their day to do want they want, when they want to.
They just want to do their driving job well.
